Internet star DJ Loonyo has taken a swipe at his critics over his controversial mass testing blunder.
In his latest Facebook live, Loonyo took potshots at his critics who labeled him as ‘bobo’ and ‘tanga’.
According to him, he respects opinions coming from other people even if they called him names or label him with demeaning words.
“You need to understand, okay, I respect the opinion coming from another people na bobo, tanga, I respect that. That’s your own opinion, that’s how you see things. But I’m happy and I’m blessed, and I’m grateful na hindi ako ganoon tinuruan ng nanay ko,” he said.
He said he just wants it to just slide because he doesn’t want his future kids to question him about what he posts now or how he conducts himself on social media if ever he will retaliate and follow his critics’ way of verbalizing their disagreement.
“Why? ‘Cause I pictured out, when my kids in the future will see what I post nu’ng sa ganito kong… at present, kung makikita anong klaseng tatay, anong klaseng tao ang tatay ko, even my family makikita nila, ‘Anong klaseng tao si Rhems?’ Gets n’yo?” Loonyo explained.
He added that he will just pray for then and hope that the same thing won’t happen to them.
“And then the people, sa artists, sa celebrities who told me those kinds of stuff, I understand, naiintindihan ko kung saan sila nanggagaling, I really understand. And then, I just hope and I just pray na sana hindi ito mangyari sa kanila, or hindi man mangyari sa kapatid nila,” he added.
Loonyo’s latest social media statement came after Kapuso celebrity Lauren Young blasted him over his mass testing gaffe.
Just recently, Young lambasted DJ Loonyo for his misinformed statements about mass testing in one of his Facebook Live sessions.
In his statement, DJ Loonyo said, “I just don’t know it’s like, it’s like, gagana ba tong bagay na to sa ganitong ano, diba? These, I don’t know kung anong gagamitin nila sa mass testing, pero kung ano man ang ipapainom nila o ipapagawa nila, it’s a trial and error, that’s why it’s mass testing.
“Kaya kawawa ’yung, ano, kawawa ’yung magi-intake, kawawa ’yung mag-u-undergo doon kasi it’s not a hundred percent proven.
“It shouldn’t be mandatory, it should be encouraged. Depende na sa’yo kung gusto mong i-test ’yung sarili mo o gusto mong paniwalaan ’yung, ano, nila. But for me, why would you test me? I’m a human being? I will react kung ano ’yung ipapainom mo sa’kin. Pa’no kung ’yung pagpapainom mo sakin, magrereact ng medyo malala ’yung katawan ko? So I am dead. ’Di ba? So ’di ako naniniwala sa mass testing na yan,” he added.
Thus in her tweet, Young didn’t mince her words when she called out Loonyo for his misconceptions about COVID-19 mass testing.

The Kapuso star also made a series of tweets slamming Loonyo for acting smart about different issues but lacking the patience to research and understand the issues fully.
I feel like in the case of Loonyo he really just wants to sound smart but lacks the patience to sit, read and understand. Gusto lang magkaroon ng opinion for the sake of it? Mapakita lang yung bigdickenergy. Like LOOK AT ME IM SMART.

Easy lang naman eh, if you don’t know or aren’t sure about what you’re talking about then simply ask! There’s no harm in asking, if anything masmaiinform ka pa nga eh. Only a person with a huge ego would be scared to ask. You’re taking the opportunity to learn away from yourself!
