Several personalities and Kapamilya journalists have taken to social media to air their disgust over Congressmen Rodante Marcoleta, Jesus Remulla and Mike Defensor who kept on prolonging the ABS-CBN franchise hearing by belaboring already addressed and answered issues.
On Twitter, personalities like Sen. Nancy Binay, Karen Davila, TJ Manotoc, Daniel Padilla, and other Kapamilya stars and journalists shared their disappointment over the conduct of ABS-CBN franchise oppositors.
In her tweet, Sen. Nancy Binay compared ABS-CBN’s fate with that of the traditional jeeps, which are being taken for granted by the authorities.
“Bakit parang iisa ang guhit ng palad ng #ABSCBN at ng mga traditional #jeepney? Kunyari sinasama, pero di sinasali. Naririnig pero di pinakikinggan. Nakikita pero di tinitingnan. #traditionaljeepneys #ABSFranchiseHearing”

Karen Davila meanwhile was frustrated why they keep on repeating issues when no less than the regulating agency NTC said ABS-CBN didn’t violate their franchise when they offered TV Plus.
“No less than NTC said it. Walang paglabag ang 6 programs (others use the word channel) sa ABSCBN TV Plus. No need for separate franchises. Sana malinaw. #ABSCBNFranchiseRenewal”

Grabe ang galit ninyo sa ABS-CBN.
Sana ganyan din ang galit ninyo sa poverty, unemployment, COVID19, lack of proper education & healthcare at corruption (ay… kayo kayo din pala yun)#misplacedpriorities

Clearly, these people will do anything and everything just to stop ABS-CBN from broadcasting in any way. Grabe lang yung panggigipit. #IbalikAngABSCBN

Pls tell that to GMA, which just launched a 3rd channel on Digital.
Or BEAM, which airs 4 channels on DTT.
Again, that's the march of technological progress, and viewers are benefiting from it–even if it eats away at legacy cable. https://t.co/BQhogskrCc

Kasalanan ba ng tao kung ayaw ng cable at ang gusto nila one time payment lang kaya ABSCBN TV PLUS ang meron sa bahay nila? SUSKO!

With the way this is going, you can really get a sense that these people do not care at all about the interests of the public they swore to serve. God bless the Philippines.
