To ensure the safety of anchors and staff, “Umagang Kay Ganda” now strictly observes social distancing with Anthony, Jeff, and Jorge leading the show in the UKG studio, while Amy, Ariel, Ariella, Gretchen, and Winnie joined the fun from their homes via a video conferencing app.
Monday’s episode featured Winnie unleashing her cooking skills at home as she shared a cool twist to make the usual sardinas and shanghai appetizing for Filipinos who have run out of ideas on recipes. On the other hand, “Happinews” ambassador Gretchen Ho showed off easy dance moves to encourage viewers to stay active even on quarantine.
Viewers also got to pick up ways on how they can spend their quarantine time from UKG hosts. Ariel happily shared that he beats the quarantine blues by singing, while Amy has chosen to spend more time with her kids doing household chores and other fun activities.
Meanwhile, “Umagang Kay Ganda” also kicked off its comeback with a smashing surprise as Kapamilya star Jona showcased her powerful singing chops live from her home. Jona’s performance of “Higher Love” stirred viewers, making the #UmagangKayGandaWithJONA occupy the third spot in the list of Twitter trends in the country.
