Kapamilya comedienne Marietta Subong or Pokwang recently clapped back at a netizen who claimed that ABS-CBN does not deserve a new franchise.
The popular comedy actress was one of the Kapamilya stars who encouraged the “madlang people” to join the online petition to bring back ABS-CBN on air. Her Facebook post was also shared by her family and relatives.
In just 24 hours, the petition amassed over 1 million signatures.
However, Pokwang noticed a negative comment on her sister’s post.
She also admitted that as much as the comment was disturbing, the sender of the negative message surprised her. As it turned out, it was her former neighbor whom she chose not to name.
What?? Si Mang… (name withheld)?? di ako makapaniwala!!!” she said.
She continued, “Kapit-bahay namin sya sa Hinulugang Taktak from 1980 pa hanggang ngayon, kasi, meron pa kaming bahay doon.”
According to the comedienne, her former neighbor in Antipolo knew what they went through and what kind of life they had to live with.
She continued her tirade by saying that the unnamed neighbor was envious of her success and her comfortable life now that she’s already an artist, all thanks to ABS-CBN.
“So, NGAYON, GUSTO MO MAIPASARA ANG ABS-CBN KASI DI NYO MATANGGAP NA YUNG DATI PINAGMAMARAMUTAN NYO NG TUBIG E NAKAKAPAG MINERAL WATER NA NGAYON?????
“MALINAW NA MALINAW NA ISA SA DAHILAN NA NAIS NYONG MAIPASARA ANG NETWORK DAHIL SA INGGIT!!
“OO INGGIT!!! ISA SA PINAKAMASAMANG UGALI AT KASALANAN SA DIOS!! MY GOD!!!” she ended her post.
Pokwang is not one who keeps her silence when a basher attacks her or the people she cares for.
In fact, she has recently clapped back at bashers and trolls.
Veteran starlet Mystica slammed Pokwang’s relief efforts which the latter featured on her vlog.
At the start of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon, Pokwang took the initiative to help the frontline workers at checkpoints by preparing food for them.
According to Mystica, the comedienne should have prioritized helping the poor and hungry, rather than the frontliners who have the means to provide for their food.
Ano yun?”
P*tangina.”
Pokwang posted a reply that she has no time to spare for crazy people. Her post has since been deleted.
Aside from this, she also got back at her bashers on social media who called her ugly.
On a tweet she posted on May 19, Pokwang shared what her basher has told her.
The basher said, “ang pangit mo Pokwang! Boba KA! mukha kang unggoy! epal ka!””
Pokey, who threatened to reveal the identity of the critic, took the situation lightly by saying that the basher should refrain from looking at the mirror to stop so as not to see a monkey-like and ugly reflection.
To her bashers, Pokwang’s new normal is to ‘dedma’ and block them.
