- Janine Gutierrez’s grandmother said: “Yes I do, I like Rayver very much”

Janine Gutierrez invited her grandmother Pilita Corrales to do a vlog titled “Ask Mamita Anything!” as requested by the netizens.
During their conversation, Janine asked her grandmother some random questions. The first question was about her pet peeve. Corrales answered, “Chismosas.”
“I just don’t like ‘Chismosas” who talk and then its a lie,” she said.
But she also said that since Janine is in showbiz, these things happen but sometimes it can hurt other feelings.
On to her next questions from Instagram, the netizens wanted some advice to have nice skin. So Mamita revealed her secret and said, “If it’s okay to say… ladies and gentlemen…I don’t use soap in my face and I have never use soap in my face. Soap is very dry to the skin.”
She also said that she uses toner to removed her makeup.
“So what I do, I remove the makeup with a toner, any kind of toner just to remove the makeup. Soap kasi is very dry but it might just be my skin, with other people the soap is ‘okay’ na sila,” she added.
Corrales was also asked about her most memorable experiences.
“The most memorable is the first time went to sing at the Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas with Sammy Davis Jr.”
The next question was related to love as Janine asked her Mamita on how to move on. Her grandma answered her, “Look for another one immediately”. For her, there is no time for crying, the person should continue life and let everyone knows that he/she is single.
“You have to get up. There is no time for crying. Nangyari na yun eh! Finish na! so the next day, you have to be alive again and let everybody know I’m available.”
Janine also said, “I’m single, move on agad!”
Janine’s next question was how to know someone that it is the right person. Mamita answered her that “It is very hard” but advised that, “When you love, you leave something for yourself,”
The netizens asked who is Corrales’ favorite grandchild. Though Janine was pointing to herself, Corrales said that she loved all her grandchildren but for now, her favorite is the little one.
“Your all my favorite but right now my favorite is the little one.
“I love all my grandchildren, I wished they could all live here.”
Corrales also shared some advice for those NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth). Though it is good to pray to have a boyfriend, one should have to look for and choose.
“Yes its good to pray for a boyfriend, you have to go and choose. You’re the one who makes hanap,” she said.
But when it comes, the person will know that its the one.
“If they will come, maybe for a long time you don’t have a boyfriend, then suddenly, you meet someone and you know he’s the one,” she added.
The next question had something to do with Janine’s boyfriend Rayver Cruz. It seems that Rayver had won Janine’s grandmother’s heart as she said: “Yes I do, I like Rayver very much”
“I also met the brother. Because I knew, and even before the mother died, I don’t think I ever met the mother, but I know that they are a very close-knit family. They are Catholics, they go to church every Sunday. Things like that. I liked him right away.”
Corrales knew him and his brother but what she liked about him that he is very respectful.
“He’s very respectful. He was telling me, ‘Mamita, finally. I think she’s gonna say yes to me na.’ He’s very nice, very talented. He sings. He’s such a wonderful dancer and I think you make a nice pair together.”
For 16-year-old teenagers, Corrales also advised them to enjoy life as long they do it the right way by not involving drinks and drugs.

When she was asked about fashion, being a performer they have to follow the trend but as long as you don’t look ridiculous, people can follow fashion and change a little bit to have your style. Janine agreed with her Mamita and admitted that she is her fashion Idol.
“Being on stage and singing, we have to go with the trend. As long as you don’t look ridiculous you can follow the fashion, changing it a little bit”
As for her last question, she asked her to say something about her experienced meeting Elvis Presley.
Corrales shared that she met Elvis Presley in Las Vegas while doing the show called “Philippine Festival”. All the shows in Las Vegas had one day off which is Monday, but since their show is different from the other shows, they will still do it on Monday. This meant all the other shows appearing in other casinos would come because it was their day off and that’s when Elvis came.
“Ay napakagwapo. Amazing,” was her reaction.
She also said the Elvis had invited her to go out but then the agent didn’t allow them.
At the end of her vlog, she invited her brother Diego to say some kabataan words and Mamita should define it. Mamita also said that she is waiting for Janine to guest her on her future projects.
As a grandmother, she also doesn’t tolerate it when her grandchildren make mistakes. To recall, that she had scolded Janine over a tweet against Sen. Bong Revilla Jr.
“Pinagalitan ko si Janine kahapon. I said, ‘You’re wrong! You are wrong! When you are wrong, you’re wrong.’”
“Ang sabi niya ‘yes Mita, yes Mita. Ang sabi ko, you don’t do that, you can’t say that. Who do you think you are? Sinabi ko talaga sa kanya na sometimes, you just open your mouth and you don’t know. Maybe you meant oh my God, so exciting. You didn’t do that Janine.”
