- ABS-CBN continued serving Filipinos despite going off the air
Several netizens have praised ABS-CBN for continuing their service to the Filipino people in spite of being off the air for quite some time.
Twitter user @AnoNaJuan shared an infographic containing ABS-CBN’s report with regards to their Pantawig ng Pag-ibig fundraising campaign.
ABS-CBN Corp. has raised over a billion pesos worth of cash and goods for this fight against Covid19 pandemic. This is apart from the donation drive of their talents, employees and partners. No other station can even be near half of this initiative. pic.twitter.com/uoyPaaYZQK

In the infographic, ABS-CBN reported raising more than half a billion pesos (506,867,336), 409 million of which are total cash donations and pledges and 97 million worth in kind donations.
From the more than 409 million cash donations, ABS-CBN said they’ve used 312 million to purchase goods which they’ve used to distribute to the families affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
ABS-CBN was able to deliver a total of 397 million worth of donations to the LGUs in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces of Cavite, Bulacan, Rizal, and Laguna.
These efforts were commended by other netizens who shared their experience with ABS-CBN’s pantawid ng pag-ibig campaign.

Meanwhile, aside from the Pantawid ng Pag-ibig fundraising campaign, ABS-CBN has also launched other projects that will help Filipinos cope in this time of the pandemic.
At the onset of the global pandemic, ABS-CBN launched the “Ligtas Pilipinas sa COVID-19” campaign. Filipinos across the country learned safety tips from the Department of Health with the help of Kapamilya artists explaining the pandemic and ways on how people can protect themselves via plugs seen and heard on TV, radio, and online.
ABS-CBN has been off the air since May 5, 2020 after complying with NTC’s cease and desist order.
Since then, the company is said to be losing 30-35 million pesos in revenue daily.
