The National Bureau of Investigation said they are taking seriously threats made online against several celebrities and online personalities.
In a statement sent to ABS-CBN News, the NBI advised individuals who are getting online threats to not hesitate to seek NBI’s assistance because they’ll do their part to address the concerns.
“The NBI takes seriously any threats made to any person. If Angel Locsin and other artists receive threats of physical harm or other means sent thru the social media and they feel these threats are serious, they have all the right to seek the assistance of the NBI so their concerns can be appropriately addressed.”

Angel recently posted on her Instagram account a tweet from a netizen who offered 200-million bounty for those who can kill her and fellow actors, Coco Martin, and Kim Chiu, aside from blowing up the ABS-CBN compound.
In her post on Wednesday, May 20, Angel called on the National Bureau of Investigation in her post. “Hello, NBI? Beke nemen po…” she wrote.

Aside from the bounty, Angel also shared another post from a netizen who accused her of being an NPA supporter in the same Instagram post.
With her firm stand against the government’s incompetence, Angel has been a target of red-tagging also.
Prior to this, Angel also slammed another twitter troll who tried to connect her and her uncle, former Congressman Neri Colmenares, to the NPA.
In a now-deleted tweet, Angel answered; “Are you accusing @ColmenaresPH na NPA sya? At ako rin? Kaya mong ilabas yung pangalan mo para mapatunayan natin?”

Meanwhile, Angel said she has no plans for now to pursue a case against those online trolls. But if they will continue to malign her and post threats against her life then she won’t hesitate to put a fight in court.
“For now, ipag-pray ko muna ‘tong mga taong ‘to. Ayoko silang pahirapan pa sa hirap ng buhay ngayon sa kung anong pwede kong ikaso sa kanila. ‘Pag umulit, hindi ko sila aatrasan,” Angel said.
Angel also thanked the NBI for quickly reaching out to her about the matter.
