Metro puts together the “Metro Food Pop Up,” a collaboration with handpicked restaurants and chefs who will create a special Mother’s Day set menu available via takeout or delivery service on specific dates, for all the weekends of May.
The set menus are carefully curated by Metro with partner chefs, who have created magical meal options in spite of the restrictions imposed by quarantine and working with only skeleton crew.
Kicking off the roster is People’s Palace, with Chef Colin Mackay and executive chef Kerwin Go who created a modern Thai menu good for four.
“Since People’s Palace opened 20 years ago in Malate, up until mid-March in Greenbelt 3, we have welcomed so many families through our doors to experience delicious Thai cooking and the warm hospitality of our service team. Despite the unprecedented circumstances that we must all endure, I hope that you will still be able to celebrate on Mother’s Day with you families and enjoy my special menu created in the spirit of sharing food together,” shared Chef Colin.
Since Mother’s Day weekend is going to be quite busy, Metro also partnered with MrSpeedyEats, the newest delivery service provider in the metro, to ensure that food is delivered safely and efficiently.
“Metro Food Pop Up” will also offer special Mother’s Day menu from The Black Pig with Chef Carlos Garcia on May 16; Wildflour Café+Bakery with Chef Allen Buhay and BJ Mantuano on May 17; a mano led by Amado Fores on May 23; Cyma with Chef Robby Goco on May 24; Bamba Bistro with Chef Tina Legarda on May 30; and Test Kitchen with Chef Josh Boutwood on May 31.
People Palace’s Mother’s Day Set Menu is available only on Mother’s Day (May 10). Preorder no later than 2 pm on Saturday (May 9), by calling (02) 8828-4888, 8828-1937 or (0917) 889-2782.
