KC Concepcion took to social media her reaction about the “unconfined cinema” of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
She retweeted MJ Felipe’s tweet about critically-acclaimed director Antoinette Jadaone’s revelation that the live session of Cruz and Alonzo was an experimental project.
On the caption, she wrote: “Modern Cinema [heart emoji] Life and art merging as one. In a language of its own. We watch each other on social media as if the lives and moments we share with the world are episodes of a tv series anyway.”

Just a few days ago, the JLC-Bea tandem had a movie-like catch up via Instagram live that surprised many of their fans. They talked about a lot of things and even exchanged lines from their movies and TV series prompting Cruz to “profess” his feelings for his love team partner.
He told Alonzo, “Nandon ka nong nagmahal ako. Nandon ka nong nasaktan ako. Nandon ka nong wala akong matakbuhan. Nandon ka nong kailangan ko nang kaibigan. Nadon ka nong kailangan ko nang kausap.
“Pag binabalikan ko lahat nang iyan minsan di ko na alam kung ano pa tayo eh, kung sino tayo? Pero okay lang, kasi ang mahalaga ay iyong nandon ka. Yun lang sapat na.”
Their exchange of “I miss yous” literally made their fans cry in happiness about Cruz and Alonzo’s undeniable chemistry.
Before their “movie-like” Instagram session happened, the 36-year-old actor also posted a playful video with the Kapamilya actress on the image sharing-platform, browsed through her old photos, and even sent her a direct message.

But, critically-acclaimed director Antoinette Jadaone spilled the beans behind JLC-Bea live session claiming that it was an experimental project that she’s working on.
On Instagram, Jadaone said, “The Unconfined Cinema was founded on the idea of exploring what else cinema could be, freeing our stories to be told outside of the traditional spaces and conceptual boundaries set by the last century of the medium.
“In this unprecedented time of quarantine, in a time when movie production is impossible, we found it especially pressing to find ways to tell our stories,” she added.
Referring to the live session of the prominent loveteam, she explained, ‘Love Team’ is a love story – whether romantic or in its other forms – told entirely within Instagram. It is a story of our times.”

Furthermore, days before the nostalgic live session happened, Alonzo, Cruz, and Jadaone had already announced to their fans about “a work of fiction” that they will be performing on Instagram. On their respective IG accounts, they posted the same photo. Cruz even tagged the 32-year-old actress and the Alone/Together director.

However, despite pre-announcing about what they’ll be working together, JLC-Bea fans were still caught off guard and their reactions somehow made the experimental “unconfined cinema” project effective and worth making.
