Kathryn Bernardo is one of the many celebrities that has reached out to Filipinos in dire need of help in this time of the pandemic.
The actress doesn’t want to talk about the relief efforts she does because oftentimes people misunderstand the efforts of celebrities to help.
“Hindi lang siguro ako comfortable na, minsan kasi iba ‘yung dating kapag artista eh tapos tumulong para lang iwas… basta makatulong. ‘Yon lang naman ‘yung point.”
The actress marked her birthday on March 26 by distributing food and medical supplies to frontliners.
“Part ng birthday ko ‘yon tapos kami ni tita Karla (Estrada), mga maliliit na tulong lang naman na kaya nating ibigay. Hindi naman siguro kailangang malaman ng lahat. Importante na nakarating ‘yung tulong na ‘yon. Kami nina mama (Min Bernardo) at tita Karla ang nag-ayos no’n, hindi lang ako,” said Kathryn.
Though Kathryn has kept the birthday relief operations from the public eye, there were still people who noticed her act of kindness.

Aside from the relief goods and medical supplies, Sterling Notebooks revealed that Kathryn also provided 7,000 face shields to 40 hospitals and fed more than 2,000 health workers, law enforcers, and less fortunate Filipinos.
