On her Instagram account, Mariel Rodriquez promoted her new vlog on her YouTube channel.
“I have a new vlog uploaded on my YouTube channel!!! Sharing with all of you my OA Macaroni Salad recipe!!! Among everything I prepare this one is Robin’s favorite… this is what he requests for all the time 💕 this recipe is from my heart sharing it with all of you!!! Link is on my bio.”
And Mariel jokingly started her vlog by calling out the bashers that she presumed would be commenting about her weight,
“Para sa lahat, gusto ko lang sabihin oh mag co comment na naman kayo diyan sabihin niyo naman ‘ang taba’ ‘ang taba hala’ ‘ang laki niya na.'”

“Ako na nag sasabi oh okay? happy? mataba okay na? alam na nating dalawa makaka move on na tayo sa aking cooking show.”
Mariel was bashed recently for her ‘insensitivity’ when she flaunted her lavish lifestyle amid the COVID-19 crisis.
A netizen @queeniesomera blasted Mariel’s post, implying that it was insensitive to post expensive cuts of meat knowing that the majority of citizens do not have food on their table.
“Marami ang naghihirap at walang makain.”

Mariel snapped back and said she will never feel guilty about her post.
“Alam mo. I do not feel guilty kahit konti you know why? We have done soooooo much more than what you see in social media. So if I want to post my lolo’s steak. I WILL with no guilt whatsoever,”
Back then, Mariel used to be part of noontime variety show “Wowowee” on ABS-CBN, where Robin Padilla was a guest host for two weeks.
This started Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez’s love story.
In an interview on Magandang Buhay, Robin shared that in his stay in that program, he would receive tokens of appreciation from Mariel.
“Dalawang linggo akong may pagkain, may love letter. ‘Yung love letter galing kay Mariel, ‘yung pagkain, galing kay Pokwang. Siyempre dalawang taon walang ganun. Kahit na wala sa isip mo na ma-in love, nai-in love ka, hanggang sa ‘yung biru-biruan.”
