Kapamilya star Enchong Dee wrote a heartwarming poem about his love for the country.
In a tweet, Enchong shared what he called an “amateur poem” encouraging everyone to speak the truth.
“It took me a while to process my emotions. I came up with this, I was not expecting it would come out as an amateur poem… sharing to you my love for my country.”

In one of the stanzas, Dee said we should speak honestly now because there could be no tomorrow for us to speak. He also added that our words may be judged by others but it is history will be the ultimate judge for what we stood for.
“A society with different views who by the end of the day wants a nation of peace and prosperity./ Speak without worrying about a muddied reputation or appearing every so often silly… Speak honestly now more than ever because tomorrow may not be in your favor/ Speak, for I have no right to judge you, but history can and honestly will…”
In another stanza meanwhile, Enchong seemingly dedicated it to his Kapamilyas in ABS-CBN who are in danger of losing their jobs with the shutdown and related it to the treatment of POGOs or casinos.
“Speak not because jobs are in peril but because we are Filipinos./ Speak in conscience, it’s utterly pleasing but trust me it’s unlike the false sense of pleasure from the casinos… “
Enchong recently questioned the government’s decision to resume POGO operations amid Metro Manila’s enhanced community quarantine.
“Question? Anong pagkakaiba ng mga POGO sa ibang profession para ma-lift ang ECQ soon? Is it Revenues? Is it their connections? Is it their ability to bribe? Is POGO industry exempted from contracting COVID19? Seriously… gusto ko malinawan,” he tweeted

In the end, he encouraged everyone to speak because that could be the only way for this country to move forward.
“Speak and deliver your message gently/ Speak — for this is the only way we can move forward as a country.”
While Enchong is known to be one of the critics of the administration, he has been helping the country with his own ways in battling the COVID-19 crisis.
Enchong had organized several fundraising activities for the frontliners and the public affected by the lockdown. All the donations that he and his friends collected were donated to the Office of the Vice President Leni Robredo.
