After two months of dealing with thw pandemic COVID-19 disease and for lagging behind neighboring countries, the Philippine government finally considered conducting mass testing for Filipinos.
However, it’s been more than a month when the government announced that they would conduct COVID-19 mass testing for PUIs and PUMs as stated by National Action Plan Chief Implementor Secretary Carlito Galvez but we have yet to see mass testing being done. Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban reminded the government of the promise they made to conduct mass testing.
As per the 33-year-old actress, the government seems to be diverting the attention of Filipinos to the sudden shutdown of ABS-CBN as ordered by the NTC, to cover up their shortcomings in conducting mass testing.
Asan na mass testing? Mabalik tayo. Nililihis niyo kami.

She also pleaded with the government to prioritize Filipinos first, rather than dealing with POGOs to resume operating even in the midst of COVID-19 crisis.

ABS-CBN President Carlo Katigbak already apologized to Rodrigo Duterte during a Senate hearing for the network’s franchise renewal application.
Katigbak said: “We were sorry if we offended the President. That was not the intention of the network. We felt that we were just abiding by the laws and regulations that surround the airing of political ads.”
Kapamilya artist Coco Martin also called out the government’s move on ABS-CBN shutdown. The FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano actor emphasized that every time that the country is hit with a disaster, Kapamilya celebrities are the first ones to respond and provide help to Filipinos.
Coco said: “Sa panahon ngayon, ang ABS-CBN at ang mga artista ang isa sa mga tumutulong sa mga tao ngayon. Ano pong malaking problema dun?”
