After ABS-CBN was shut down by the National Telecommunications Commission, bashers and trolls have been hard at work trying to make sure the Kapamilya Network loses more ground and attacking its supporters including celebrities like Angel Locsin.
When Angel calculated the massive impact of ABS-CBN shutdown on its employees, the real-life heroine analyzed that DSWD should prepare another Php55 million worth of Social Amelioration Program for the 11,000 employees who were laid off.

The bashers tried to argue with Angel which led her to fire back with nothing but facts.
User @ThorWannabe stated that if only ABS-CBN did not ask for Php2,500 for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight pay-per-view, then it would’ve not been shut down. Angel reiterated that this issue had already been discussed in the Senate hearing.
One basher berated Angel for blaming the government for ABS-CBN for not updating its franchise.
Please do comprehend!”
Angel sarcastically responded by reminding the netizen that she never blamed the government for the ABS-CBN shutdown.
Locsin said: “Kelan ako nanisi sa government? Individual pwede kong icall out. Bakit ko naman ilalahat? Parang ikaw ang hindi naka-comprehend.”
While many netizens seem cannot comprehend that ABS-CBN is one of the top taxpayers in the Philippines as well its artists, Angel reprimanded the bashers and emphasized that the 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN are taxpayers too, and there is no discrepancy when it comes to ABS-CBN’s taxes.
“Hindi ba sila tax payers? Mamamayan sila. Yes taxpayers. Kami rin tax payers J also, according to BIR sa senate hearing, wala pong discrepancy sa tax ang abs”
Meanwhile, user @GirbaudVuitton suggested that Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, Sharon Cuneta, and ABS-CBN executives should remain humble since they are the ones who need to go back on air. The netizen also asked Angel that if an employee is a consistent taxpayer, does it mean he/she is spared from being charged with any cases?
As Angel continued to reply to bashers, one of the commentators has raised the issue regarding the statement of FICTAP President. Angel stated that the issue has been raised and settled during a senate hearing.
An Angel fan accused the Kapamilya actress of overreacting and lying that ABS-CBN has 11,000 employees.
Angel once again explained the difference between employees, outsourced staff, and talent.
To conclude her engagement with bashers, Angel admitted that she regretted voting for President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Ako I voted for Pres.
