- NTC ordered ABS-CBN to cease its operation.
Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin didn’t take ABS-CBN’s closure sitting down as she issued a strong statement about it.
In a tweet right after ABS-CBN signed off the air, Angel slammed those who find joy in the network’s closure saying she hopes they can still sleep well at night, able to pay bills and that no one will get sick in their family knowing there are thousands of people who will lose their jobs with the shutdown.

In one post, she shared a picture of ABS-CBN logo with a juxtaposed picture of raised fist, indicating resistance.
