Since ABS-CBN was ordered to shut down by the National Telecommunications Commission more than a week ago, Kathryn Bernardo spoke up for the first time on behalf of 11,000 employees who were going to lose their jobs.
According to the 24-year-old Kapamilya actress, she realized that life is indeed hard and unpredictable when she was filming Hello Love Goodbye with Alden Richards in Hong Kong. It was a movie that opened her eyes to reality with overseas Filipino workers, she also realized what an ordinary Filipino family is fighting for and sacrificing just to make ends meet.
Due to the suddenness of ABS-CBN’s shutdown, Kathryn firmly believes that the NTC decision has lessened the opportunities for 11,000 employees.
Furthermore, Kathryn also defended fellow Kapamilya artists who voiced out their frustrations like Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, John Prats. As per Kathryn, celebrities like them are fully responsible to speak on behalf of 11,000 employees who don’t have the influence o express themselves.
