ABS-CBN employees and talents can breathe a sigh of relief for the meantime as the company’s bosses promised to retain everyone’s jobs for the next three months.
In a tweet by Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez, she said that during their live chat with ABS-CBN executives, they promised that no one will lose their jobs in the next three months after the network’s closure.
“Our bosses in a live chat with employees after broadcast ended: ‘For the next three months, wala pong mawawalan ng trabaho due to retrenchment,'” Bianca in a deleted tweet.
Bianca also said that all employees’ benefits will remain active during the duration of that 3 month period.
Never been prouder to be a Kapamilya.” she added.
Meanwhile, in another tweet (which was already deleted) Bianca also revealed that ABS-CBN bosses had their salary deducted during the ECQ period.
Grateful for our leaders.”
The NTC on Tuesday, May 5, has ordered the broadcast giant to cease operations after their franchise expired on Monday, May 4.
ABS-CBN has been instrumental in spreading information especially during this time of COVID-19 crisis.
Apart from that, the ABS-CBN foundation has also stepped up in complementing the government’s efforts in relief operations through its Pantawid ng Pag-ibig program.
“Ang makapaglingkod sa inyo ang aming misyon, at ang aming kaligayahan,” said ABS-CBN CEO Carlo Katigbak during TV Patrol‘s broadcast before the station signed off.
