Netizens can’t help but look for the infamous PAO Chief, Atty. Persida Acosta during Coronavirus pandemic.
Seems like the ‘Scare Queen’ Atty. Persida is hiding after sowing panic and hysteria among the public against the then-controversial ‘Dengvaxia Vaccine’.
Netizens want to know how the PAO Chief would react now that President Rodrigo Duterte himself vowed to have the Philippines participate in clinical trials of a Japan-made drug, Avigan, as a probable COVID-19 treatment.
President Duterte also said that he will only lift the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon once a cure against the novel coronavirus becomes available. He cited that a giant drugmaker is currently developing the vaccine which may be out in the market soon.

Atty. Acosta announced that PAO lawyers will adapt a work-from-home scheme but remain on call for the public’s legal needs.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang serbisyo (Our services will continue),” Acosta said in her video announcement posted on Facebook. “Ang importante lang ngayon, social distancing ay ma-implement natin (what’s important is we implement social distancing).”
Since PAO is a frontline office that the public flocks to every day, Acosta explained that the agency has to implement measures to keep its lawyers and staff, as well as the public, safe from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Acosta has made it known to the public that they can contact her, the district heads, and regional heads for legal assistance.
She said the numbers have been posted in around 400 PAO offices nationwide.
