Some celebrities have stepped up their concerns about the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and have made relief efforts themselves, but some netizens are nitpicking and accusing and questioning celebrities for their efforts.
Angel Locsin came to the rescue of her fellow Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano after a netizen asked Liza whether she had made any assistance or contributions to the current health crisis.
After sharing her opinion in a short and direct statement about the President’s national address, Liza tweeted, “What our people need now is empathy not threats.”

A netizen responded to the tweet and even compared Liza to Angel Locsin and Kathryn Bernardo whom he/she also tagged in the tweet.
“Bat dimu gayahin sina ate @143redangel at @bernardokath tumolong kana lang pa empathy empathy ka Lol,” tweeted by @AreeshaPrecious.
Angel immediately defended Liza by replying to the netizen named AreeshaPrecious and pointing out that what she was doing was not helpful.
“FYI, Tumulong si Liza 🙂 what you’re doing is not helping”
Yet this did not stop many netizens from challenging and criticizing the celebrities. Another netizen also pointed out that Locsin had changed from the way she was before.

Angel did not hesitate to disagree with the netizen who had also bashed several other celebrities and to explain why she had to protect Liza.
“Nababash si hopie. Nag salita ako ng totoo na tumulong sya, na totoo naman. Nagalit ka. Bakit? Anong mali dun? Nasaang part dun na sinabi ang tulong ko?”
Angel said that she did not appreciate the kind of attitude that the netizen had taken.
“Sorry wala akong pasensya sa attitude mo, lalo na ngayon, na puro reklamo as if ikaw lang ang may karapatan sa mundo.”

Some netizens sided with Liza by replying to tweets linked through the actress’ silent donations. Despite the nitpicking and criticism of other netizens, this didn’t stop Angel from continuing her humanitarian efforts.
