Toni Gonzaga was accused by some netizens of not doing anything to help the people amid COVID-19 crisis, so sister Alex spoke up to defend her.
Netizens started accusing Toni, referring to her as Teddie Salazar, her character from “Four Sister and a Wedding, as the only movie sibling who is not doing anything during the pandemic.

Seeing this post, Alex defended her sister as she clarified that Toni had helped a lot but unlike other celebrities, she never posted it on social media.

On Alex’s Twitter account, she posted a photo of what her sister has donated. She was also proud of her sister for being generous.
The 4th batch of our 1k relief goods is from my sister. She has been continuously helping without posting anything. In Alex’s vlog together with her family, she showed the viewers how they are repacking relief goods to be given to the frontliners and to those people whose livelihoods have been affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
“Marami po tayong puwede gawin, sa mga tao na may choice, pinagpala ng puwede silang makapag-stay sa bahay, at nakakakain kahit na sa bahay muna sila,” she said.
“Ang naisip namin, habang naka-stay kami sa bahay, makatulong po sa ating mga kababayan na hindi po magkakaroon ng source of income,” she said
In Star Cinema’s “Four Sisters and a Wedding”, Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin, and Shaina Magdayao played siblings in the film.
