- Famewhore vloggers earn the ire of netizens for insensitive content.
Several vloggers continue to produce pranks regarding the COVID-19 despite the law prohibiting it.
One vlogger named Zeinab Harake has been highly criticized over her insensitive prank about the pandemic.
In a video uploaded on her Facebook page, Harake pranked her family and pretended to be a COVID-19 positive patient.
Her prank was not received well and her family didn’t like her insensitivity.
Her father didn’t like her antics and said her joke was not funny. Many netizens asked her to delete the insensitive prank.

I hope YouTube will take necessary actions with regards to the prank made by Zeinab Harake as a Covid 19 positive. #takedownzeinabharakeaccount

What on Earth—
Another on vlogger who earned the ire of netizens was Gell Kendrick. It was originally uploaded last year and the blogger already deleted the video but some netizens are reuploading it, reigniting the hate towards the Negros Occidental vlogger.

In a Facebook post, Kate Aranda shared a screenshot of Kendrick’s now-deleted prank video. Kendrick uploaded a suicide video prank for her boyfriend titled “SOSAYD PRANK CALL TO BOYFRIEND”.
Suicide has always been a sensitive topic especially for those who are battling through personal issues and who have close friends and family members who have taken their own lives. Netizens called out Kendrick for the distasteful video saying she shouldn’t have done it.
Luckily for these two, they were not reprimanded by the authorities for uploading their insensitive and frankly, stupid videos.
However, one vlogger who also did another ludicrous content was admonished by the authorities.
In his vlog, Cagayan de Oro vlogger Antonio Bonitos urged his friends and followers to defy the lockdown and go outside and swim.
“No lockdown, lockdown. Summer na ngayon, walang hiyang lockdown lockdown na ‘yan. Guys, tara, maligo tayo!” said Bonitos.

Because of that, the Regional Compliance Board Inspectorate team Antonio Resma, Jr., together with the city police, went to Bonitos’ place in Barangay Macabalan.
Resma’s team questioned Bonitos’ intent in creating and uploading his content.
“Are you aware of what you’ve doing? You’re asking people to defy government’s order to stay at home,” Resma told Bonitos.
Although Bonitos said it was only a joke, he apologized to the city government for what he did.
“Mga ka-Wonders, humihingi ako ng public apology guys. Sumunod tayo sa gobyerno. Stay at home lang tayo, guys,” he said.
Resma, meanwhile, reminded Bonitos that since the country is experiencing a public health crisis his call to go out is contrary to the ECQ policy.
“Nasa public health crisis tayo ngayon. Kita niyo naman, sa video niya, siya na mismo nagsabi na bored siya kaya siya lumabas labas,” said Resma.
“Nasa batas na ang mga essential workers lang ang lalabas. Non-essential ‘yung ginagawa niya tapos nang-hikayat pa siya sa ibang tao na lumabas,” he added.
Under Bayanihan to Heal As One Law Section 6, spreading of fake and alarming information are punishable by either 2 months in prison or up to P1 million in fines or both.
