Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto recently appeared in one of the episodes of “Out of the Box” Challenge of Star Magic where she gamely answered each question with wit and humor.
The 23-year-old actress was able to answer all the questions including the question of why she is popular.
The question was, “Sikat ka ba dahil Barretto ka or dahil talented ka?” to which she answered with, “Well, sana dahil talented ako. Pero sa tingin ng mga bashers dahil Barretto ako.”
Aside from this, she was asked is she ever cried over rumors about her.
“Wala,” she said while laughing and added, “Not that I remember. I was a strong woman.”
When asked about a Star Magic colleague that she avoids, she answered, “Sarili ko. As much as possible gusto kong iwasan ang sarili ko.”
Given her high sense of humor and straight-forward wittiness, the young actress revealed that she does pluck some boogers when no one is watching.
Meanwhile, amid the global pandemic, Julia revealed that it made her realize things and helped her gain a new perspective in life especially after getting involved in the high-profile breakup of Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson.
In an interview with Magandang Buhay, the “I Am U” star said, “Siguro for me nagbago ang perspective ko sa maraming bagay, like the moments na sana we didn’t take for granted kasi it’s easy for us to see our friends, see our families, go out and work, like normal.”
She also shared her realization of choosing one’s battle and prioritizing what’s more important in life.
“Siguro rin pinipili kung ano ang pino-problema sa life. May mga bigger problems pala na [haharapin] pa natin in the future. Iba eh. Nakakaiba lang siya ng perspective so mas pinapahalagahan ang mas malalaki na bagay sa life,” she remarked.
When asked about her new perspective on love, she quipped, “Masarap mag-love, pwede ba ‘yun? Masaya mag-love. Masaya talaga.
“I think it’s the best time to really spread love, spread positivity and to make good relationships because I think in times of crisis like these parang kumakapit tayo talaga sa isa’t isa. Kailangan nagbi-build tayo ng stronger bond para to keep us sane lang,” she added.
Julia Barretto is the daughter of Marjorie, Gretchen and Claudine Barretto’s sister. The Barretto sisters have had long-standing feuds with each other over the years and their fights almost always make the news.
The current rift is between Marjorie and her sisters Gretchen and Claudine. The drama unfolded at their father’s wake on October 16, 2019, and even dragged President Rodrigo Duterte into it when he attended the wake on the same day. Marjorie’s daughters got also involved in the fight including Julia who allegedly attacked her aunt, Claudine.
