He thinks that these people are only doing for self-gratification.
“If you want to feed the hungry, then feed the hungry. But the moment you post it on Social Media, you are only feeding your EGO!” -This was Sen. Tito’s amended version of John Wooden’s famous statement. John Wooden is a world-renowned basketball player and one of the most revered coaches in the history of sports.
My John Wooden amended version – if you want to feed the hungry, then feed the hungry. But the moment you post it on social media, you are only feeding your ego!

In his amended version, Sotto replaced the word “Homeless” which was the original quote to “Hungry” for it to suit the present situation the country is in.
It is a known fact that the Senator has a history of plagiarism where he allegedly copied former US Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s 1966 speech, says translating is not copying.
This post clearly was not well received by his followers.
Or maybe they just want to inspire others to do the same. Just like what you do in EatBulaga… Different ways but the same intentions. God bless the Philippines and the Filipinos! ❤️

One netizen suggested to the senator to directly name those whom he wanted to shame and stop beating around the bush.
Sir, we would appreciate it if you would just hit it straight. Dont go around the bush. Dont make statement that open to interpretation. Mas gusto ng tao yung prangka, puti kung puti, itim kung itim. Walang grey.

Others speculated it was Senator Christopher ‘Bong” Go Tito Sotto was referring to.
