- Vic Sotto expressed how proud and supportive he is to his son Vico Sotto
- Coney Reyes also penned a heartfelt message to her son
Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes showed their support for their son Vico Sotto, the incumbent mayor of Pasig City. The young mayor has been receiving tons of praises especially from Pasig residents for his COVID-19 response.
Vic, 65, is just proud of his son’s performance as a public official though he also said that other leaders are doing good too.
Vic related, “Of course, proud ako na he’s doing a good job. Lahat sila, they’re doing a good job. Pag sama-sama, may bayanihan, kakayanin natin ‘to.”
The actor also agreed with Vico’s statements which said that local government units (LGUs) should not be compared to each other.
“Yung kay Vico, I think he’s doing his job. Iyon ang ipinangako niya sa kanyang mga constituents, na aalagaan sila—and he’s doing a good job. So, yung pulitika, kalimutan na natin ‘yan. Saka na tayo magpulitikahan pagkatapos ng krisis.”
Vic then emphasized the importance of staying inside during the enhanced community quarantine.
“Ibang usapan na ‘to. Kailangan talaga ng sakripisyo. Alam nating maraming nahihirapan.
He added, “Gusto natin mabawasan, gusto natin matigil.
Meanwhile, Coney shared a video clip of Vico on Instagram and included a heartfelt message.
The veteran actress also thanked Vico’s team and supporters for standing beside him amid battling the viral outbreak in the country.
“Someone sent me this short video clip of my son. I thank God for his sense of humor (which I’m sure he got from his Papa) amidst all that we are experiencing as a people… as a nation. Thank you so much to all the men and women who tirelessly work alongside Vico! Bilib ako sa inyo! Maraming Salamat sa walang patid na tulong at suporta! God is your ultimate Rewarder! I would also personally like to thank all the people who continue to pray for Vico and his team! God bless us all and keep us in His loving care. God is our Refuge and Strength! Our ever-present help in times of need! Mga kapwa Filipino! Stay strong! Konti nalang ito, di ba Lord?!”
