When people started to question the relief efforts of celebrities who post updates about them on their social media accounts, Pauline Mendoza was one of the Kapuso young talents who doesn’t mind getting bashed.
The Kambal Karibal star emphasized that she was not bragging about her relief initiatives, but she sees it as a way to encourage more people to help.
Pauline said: “Hindi ko na s’ya pinapansin kasi ‘yung posting ng mga bagay na tutulong ka, it’s not about to brag. I feel na by posting this encourages people na kaya mong tumulong. Nagbi-build s’ya ng stronger bond. Ito ‘yung time na kailangan kapit-bisig talaga tayo, magtulungan tayo, mag-intindihan tayo.”
For the negative netizens who still question their efforts in posting relief initiatives, Pauline advised them that this is the most ideal time to spread positivity and love, and that finding faults and pointing fingers at others won’t help.
She continued: “I think this is the best time talaga to spread positivity and, at the same time, to spread love. So ‘yung mga hate na ‘yun, ‘di ko pinapansin. So sana peace na lang, ‘wag na tayong maghate.”
Just like Angel Locsin who likes to expressed her gratitude, Pauline was blown away by the generosity of donors without whose help, Pauline won’t be able to help Filipinos.
“Sobrang blown away ako sa generosity nila. Talagang without their help din, ‘di ko naman talaga magagawa ‘to. So sobrang thankful din ako sa kanila.”
If there’s one good thing that she’ll always remind herself even after the quarantine, this is what Pauline has learned:
“Alam mo sobrang nakakatuwa kasi kahit ‘yung simple thing o simple effort, talagang sobrang laki na para sa kanila. Yung mga ngiti nila, makikita mo talaga. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na marinig mo ‘yung salitang ‘maraming Salamat.”

Until now, Pauline still receives hate messages for the character she portrayed in Kambal Karibal as Criselda.
Pauline shared: “Maraming nagdi-DM sa’kin sa Instagram, nagagalit pa rin sa’kin ;yung mga tao. Sinasabi nila sa’kin, bakit ba lagi kang galit, bakit mo ba inaaway si Crisan, bakit mo inaway si Diego. It means talaga na ‘yung mga viewers natin talagang napahamal sila sa Kambal Karibal until now.”
Meanwhile, Pauline has confirmed that she’s in an exclusive relationship with Alaminos City Mayor Bryan Celeste. During an interview with GMA Network via Skype, Pauline said that as much as possible they want to keep it private since they are just starting to enjoy each other’s company.
