Nadine Lustre joins roster of celebrities dismayed with COVID-19 response

Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre has joined the growing list of celebrities dismayed by the government’s actions on the COVID-19 crisis.

In several Instagram stories, Nadine let out her sentiments on the matter saying the COVID-19 pandemic exposed the government’s incompetence.

“Covid exposed the government for what it really is. The people need help, compassion (minus Koko) and transparency, not threats and lies,” Nadine wrote.

She also added that people should look out for the 274 million budget for the COVID-19 response instead of her because there were netizens who were asking and waiting for her to speak up.

“Yung P274 Billion hanapin niyo, wag ako. Kaloka. Makapaghalaman na nga,” she said.

She also joked that the government made it seem like April Fool’s Day was not just a one-day event because they have been fooling people for weeks.

“Kahapon lang April fools. Pero bakit parang ilang weeks na tayong naglolokohan??!”

Nadine was just one of those celebrities who issued a strong statement against the government’s bungling response to the COVID-19 crisis.

On April 1, several celebrities took to Twitter to slam the NBI and the Duterte government after they summoned Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto for allegedly violating provisions in the Bayanihan Act.

Kim Chiu, Angelica Panganiban, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jodi Sta.Maria, and Angel Loscin were just a few of the stars who shared their sentiments on social media.

Hindi ako nag mamarunong sa batas, pero sa opinyon ko, si Koko ang dapat ipatawag at hindi si Vico

Like, seriously? Is it because he makes everyone else look bad at their supposed job?! Unbelievable. Pwede ba kayong magpaka busy sa ibang bagay?! Busy si Mayor. Tantanan nyo naman sya, please! Dami pa nyang gagawin. #OnlyInThePhils #ProtectVico pic.twitter.com/erOaKIpfHZ

Wala silang mapag initan. Si mayor vico talaga? Kung sino pa may natutulong at maayos na sistema, siya pa kakasuhan? HANEP! Eh nasan na yung nagkalat ng virus sa makati med? So far kasi yun palang nagagawa niya. Ikalat ang virus. Mapapamura ka na lang pala talaga.

— Angelica Panganiban (@angelica_114) April 1, 2020

Other netizens also shared their sentiments on the matter.

Unahin si Koko, wag si Vico. No apologies with this tweet, nakakagago na eh.
