Filipina celebrity Meg Imperial shared her disappointment with the negativity on social media related to the COVID-19 crisis.
In a series of tweets, Imperial asked people to unite and spread positivity in this time of crisis instead of blaming the government for its response to the pandemic.
“1: No time to put someone down sa gitna ng crisis. Let’s face it. We all thought hindi ‘to mangyayari. If naisip na possible to mangyari sana nag prepare na tayo and our government years ago so hindi tayo ganito nahihirapan…”

“2: problema satin, imbes tumulong sa pagbigay solusyon, dumadagdag pa tayo by pointing fingers. Lahat may kanya kanyang hirap na pinagdadaan sa gitna ng crisis na to. Sana maging open minded nalang tayo…”

Meg also defended President Duterte from all criticisms saying he’s already tired of solving our country’s problems so we should just rally behind him.
“3: ang presidente natin nahihirapan na. Madami against him being our president but we voted and matuto tayo tanggapin resulta at tulungan ang namamahala. So we can move forward.”

That statement echoed the Duterte supporters united call (copy-paste script) to spare the president from criticism because he’s already overworked in attending and addressing the country’s needs.
The President has also said that it’s really taking its toll on his health.
After his April 7 public address, several netizens came out to share their concerns about the president’s health.
Namayat si President Duterte. I wish him well. Sana okay ang health niya. He needs to be in good shape para matugunan ng maayos ang krisis na ito.

Meanwhile, in her last tweet, Meg reminded everyone that a nation’s success depends on the collaboration and cooperation between the government and its citizens.
“4: a great nation, hindi lang depende sa government. Nasa atin din na nasa ilalim ng pangangalaga ng gobyerno. If maging selfless lahat at magtulungan I think we can change things. 🙂 #goodvibes guys! :)”
