Liza Soberano has finally spoken up about the government’s response to the pandemic COVID-19. This was after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the cops and soldiers to kill ‘troublemakers’ and violators of enhanced community quarantine.
As per Liza, Filipinos are in dire need of empathy and not threats during this trying time.
What our people need now is empathy not threats.

Liza’s short but direct message led pro-DDS netizens to criticize her and stated that celebrities like her don’t even know what’s really happening in the community as they are part of the ‘privileged’ society.
From the very beginning He's giving us the sympathy we needed.. But people keep on provoking the government,, even violating the rules.. The cup has overflowed.. If you compare it sa ibang bansa, it's just super low compared how other countries desciplined their people.

Who needs empathy in this extraordinary time the violator or the regulator. When an order for common good is defied by a few, discipline is imposed to protect the greater number of people.

#YesToABSCBNShutDown Empathy has always been with the govt, but people are just lack of discipline, so kailangan gawin ang dapat gawin..

Liza has never been outspoken when it comes to political issues, but this is the second time she expressed her opinion, and hope the President will consider. It can be recalled during the press conference of ABS-CBN’s Make It With You, Liza also gave a simple message intended for the President in regards to the giant network’s franchise issue.
Liza said: “Alam niyo naman maraming ma-apektuhan it’s not just the company itself, but all theemployees. I’m sure he has a generous and understanding heart. I hope he wakes one morning and he thinks about it again and maging bukas ang puso niya sa lahat ng smaller employees na nangangailang ng trabaho.”
