Kris Aquino has been spending quality time with her two sons Bimby and Josh in Puerto Galera while waiting for the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to be lifted.
On Instagram, the 49-year-old single mother shared a scenic view of the golden sunset at the beach with her eldest son.
In the caption, she wrote, “Despite the uncertainty of today— isn’t it hopeful to know, our Father still managed to gift us with an awe-inspiring sunset?”
Aside from sharing the beautiful paradise of Puerto Galera to her followers, Aquino also took the chance to let them know her better in a form of question and answer.
“Habang gising pa ko if you have any questions, READY AKO,” she said.

One of the questions thrown to the “Queen of All Media” was pertaining to her love life.
One netizen asked, “Have you tried online dating? Foreigner ang bagay sa mga open-minded at matalino na kagaya niyo.”
The talk show host answered, “I feel I missed the boat, too old and too set in my ways.”
Aquino was married to James Yap, who is the father of her second son Bimby in 2005. However, in 2012, their marriage was annulled. She has not steadily dated anyone since then and she does not see herself trying online dating as she believes that she’s too old to try it and she had already missed her chance for a possible romance.
One of the netizens asked Aquino if she’s enjoying her stay in Puerto Galera with her two sons in which she answered with, “How do you enjoy when you hear about friends falling ill & others dying? But I cannot show my children I am weak, iIgot very dizzy 2 nights ago because of my low BP & had the good sense to sit on the stairs- I called out to bimb & he called everyone who was with us to help get me back to bed.”
Through the Q&A, Aquino revealed that she’s happy with her life together with her two boys and she has no regrets for she believes that everything that’s happening has reasons behind it.
Aside from these, she also shared with her followers the things that make her happy despite the enhanced community quarantine.
She said, “reading while hearing the waves, watching the sunrise & sunset, having the energy to cook, eating flat tops, @checkticsay’s turon served fresh & still hot, knowing our daily tips sa resort staff help augment their food budget, yung pasabi ng mga front liners na thank you kay ma’am kris sa pa merienda- my sons seeing for themselves i’m here for them & will keep them safe.”
One curious netizen asked Aquino: “How do you define happiness now Ms. Kris?” in which she answered with, “elusive yet attainable…”
When asked how she spends her time, this is what she said: “I’ve read more than 12 books… saw all episodes of The Deputy & The Rookie.”
It is true that being alone and away from your relatives and loved ones are difficult especially during this time that we need somebody to rely on and somebody to tell us that this pandemic will eventually come to an end.
But, for Aquino, it is not the time for soul searching and love hunt.
Prior to this post, Aquino posted a ‘hugot quote’ o her Instagram account which said, “Choose those who choose you.”
The caption reads, “Siguro ‘social distancing’ is making us feel lonely, kaya maraming #hugot posts.. pati ako super #emo yung playlist that I’ve been listening to, #honest lang.”
Unexpectedly, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste commented on her IG post with, “I choose you” which made the fans excited about the possible love pair of him and Aquino.
But Aquino did not bite on his reply and said, “No thank you, no offense.”
Leviste has been rejected several times by Aquino who described the former as “impolite.”
Aside from Leviste, Aquino was also linked to Herbert Bautista, however, their story didn’t have a happily ever after.
