Magandang Buhay host Karla Estrada sent more than a dozen sacks of rice to former brother-in-law Robin Padilla as revealed by the latter through his Instagram account.
Robin expressed his gratitude for the sacks of rice which will help fellow showbiz workers who were having financial troubles even before the Luzon lockdown.
Robin told Karla: “Aba’y tol napakalaking tulong niyan sige kontakin ko si Jack Love para matukoy niya kung nasan yun mga taga pelikula na hirap na talaga dahil walang trabaho.”
According to Robin, Karla also plans to send another 50 sacks of rice if ever he still needs to provide help to others.
Robin shared: “May pahabol pa na message si tol Karla ‘magbibigay ako dito sa barangay naming tol ha magtira ako ng 50 na 25 kilos para pag may bibigyan ka pa’ ito naman ang sagot ko ‘salamat tol gantimpalaan ka ng Panginoong may likha.”

Robin and Karla are still friends even she has parted ways with Robin’s older brother and Daniel’s biological father, Rommel Padilla. In fact, Robin also revealed during an interview on ABS-CBN’s Gandang Gabi Vice that he was the one who met Karla first and they became close friends. When he was about to court Karla then, Rommel butted in first.
Robin was the one who gave Daniel his first Starex van worth Php600,000.00 right before the latter joined the Entertainment industry.
Karla thanked Robin: “Yung naguumpisa si Daniel unang buwan niya sa industriya, hirap kami mag-ina walang sasakyan. Alam niyo ho, binilhan niya kami brand new, sabi niya ‘ayan Carding mag-umpisa kayo diyan.”
