On his Instagram account, Gerald posted a video of a woman spoofing a Gandang Gabi Vice interview as Arci who had said she would never be in a romantic relationship with the actor.

Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson starred in the film Between Maybes last 2019, which soon led to the breakup of Julia with Joshua Garcia and Gerald with Bea Alonzo allegedly.
