- John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo discussed ECQ problems.
While many have gushed over the kilig moments during John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s Instagram chat, netizens were also treated to some serious and deep topics.
Aside from their light and kilig moments that set social media on fire, the two have also tackled serious issues about the current COVID-19 crisis and the Enhanced Community Quarantine that we are experiencing.
John Lloyd shared his fear about people having false hopes from private sponsors while what they need are real solutions from the government.
Bea, on her part, said there will always be someone who will step up to help and asked John Lloyd if he’s questioning her optimism.
“May magpoprovide. I mean kami. Tutulong kami hangga’t kaya namin tumulong. Syempre. May magpoprovide nga. Hindi man kami. May magpoprovide. Are you questioning my optimism?” she replied.
John Lloyd meanwhile, said he commends all the efforts Bea has been doing but it will not be enough and there should be a more sustainable solution.
“Please don’t get me wrong. ‘Yung ginagawa ‘nyo, ‘yung selflessness ‘nyo, ‘yung appreciation ko diyan is beyond words.
In response, Bea questioned JLC if it’s wrong to help.
Bea replied.
Bea launched her I Am Hope Org together with her friends. Currently, their team has been doing relief operations and giving packed meals for the COVID-19 frontliners.
John Lloyd then argued that it should be the authorities who are doing these kinds of efforts for the people. It just disappointing that after several weeks there are still many people who are still waiting for help from the government.
Dagdag. Kasi dapat may ibang bahala diyan, ‘di ba?
He added that hunger can be easily resolved but what saddening is that it’s now beyond physical hunger. It’s more of losing one’s soul, one’s hope because of lack and slow action from the government.
“Yun lang ang nakakalungkot… ‘Yung gutom kasi, Bey, kayang mapunan eh…
Eh ‘yung iba, paano sila?
John Lloyd was once perceived as a Duterte supporter having been invited to the Malacanang dinner last 2019. However, John Lloyd has no public pronouncement about his political leanings.
