Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado shared safety tips to use when going out to get groceries amid the enhanced Luzon-wide lockdown.
On Instagram, the Descendants of the SunĀ star posted a video titled, “A Trip To The Grocery Store” showing the precautionary measures that she follows whenever she goes to buy groceries during this time of a pandemic.
Aside from wearing gloves and a N95 mask, Jennylyn also uses protective eyewear and a jacket to protect herself from contracting the virus through respiratory droplets.
Apart from the essential supplies and necessities, the 32-year-old actress advised her followers to buy healthy food such as fruits to strengthen their immune system as additional protection from the viral disease.
She said: “During times like these, let’s be reminded to choose to buy healthy food to strengthen our immune systems and to boost our mental health!”
Furthermore, since the enemy is a virus that cannot be seen with the naked eye, Jennylyn also reminded her followers to observe social distancing, practice handwashing, and avoid hand-to-face contact considering the virus can just be anywhere around and can be easily transmitted.
While others are hard-headed about following the quarantine rules, some, including R&B and Soul Princess Kyla, find it hard to go out to buy groceries for fear of acquiring the virus and bringing it home to their families.
On March 31, the prominent singer posted on her Twitter page: āKung may PPE lang ako, yun talaga suotin ko para mag grocery. Sa panahon ngayon, wala na yata akong pake sa magiging itsura ko Ā the paranoia I had to go through these past few days was just Ā yoko naaa ma feel ever again.ā
