We have seen both GMA Network and ABS-CBN celebrities helping frontliners, fighting for the constituents’ rights, and asking for empathy during this trying time due to pandemic COVID-19.
But, the “Queen of Soul” Jaya humbly shared her thoughts that the extended community quarantine helps Filipinos to restructure mentally and spiritually and teach them the importance of living in the present time.
Jaya shared: “Hindi ko nakikitaan ng masama ‘yung pangyayari, nakikita ko kung ano ang nangyayaring positive. It does restructure you mentally, spiritually. Kaya nga sabi ko after this maraming tao na maka-realize that life isn’t all about the past. It’s really all about the now.”
The Tawag ng Tanghalan hurado Jaya explained the main reason she was able to remain her positive perspective amidst the crisis brought by the pandemic disease.
She continued: “When you are so used to living a certain way and that gets taken from you, it really shows your true character, who are you, what are you going to do in times of this kind of crisis and how will you get out if na hindi ka naloloka.
“Kasi unti-unti nag-iiba ang karakter ng tao kapag mayroong pinagdadaanan. This is the moment that I realized God gave me the family that I have and God put me in the position now where mayroon akong Cornerstone family because He knew that at the time this is going to happen kailangan ko ng solid na panghahawakan because He knows me from even before I was born.”
