DOH undersecretary Dr. Maria Rosario S. Vergeire, admits the removal of misting tents at Philippine General Hospital donated by Angel Locsin.
Dr. Rosario revealed that DOH has spoken with the actress and thanked her for her efforts in coming up with #UniTENTweStandPH campaign.
The actress also made a public announcement regarding the matter saying she respects the DOH’s decision to stop donations of misting tents to hospitals.

#UniTENTweStandPh is the actress’ initiative to address the challenge of overcrowding occurring in hospitals during this pandemic. During this process, some hospitals have requested sanitation tents to help decrease the viral load for those coming in and out of their health care facility. The team was able to find a credible supplier complete with Certification of effectivity and safety.
Angel also presented to the total amount generated by her #UniTENTweStandPH advocacy. An amount totaling to 10,956,702.98.

Locsin, along with her collaborators Neil Arce, Dimples Romana, Marev Matic, and Gines Sarangaya, were hands-on with the fundraising transactions, as well as the setup of the tents.
The DOH was bashed for its decision to put a stop to the actress’ humanitarian initiatives.
