In a recent MYX Celebrity DJ interview, Maine Mendoza somehow hinted that she wants to quit show business.
In her last interview with MYX Ph as MYX Celebrity DJ Kapuso star Maine Mendoza was asked what she wants to achieve after her many achievements since she joined showbiz in 2015
The actress jokingly answered that she wants to end her career as an actress.
“Quit showbiz,” Maine joked.
But in reality, Maine has one dream that hasn’t still come true, which is to be a story writer/director.
“It’s just a joke. But I want to write a movie script,”
For Maine, story writing is her comfort zone.
“The truth is, I’ve done a movie script, a romantic-comedy movie, because, I’ve been training since I went to Eat Bulaga, that’s my comfort zone,”
She even admitted that she was able to produce a story and dreams that one day it will become a reality,
“My happiest moment when I finished the script. I hope to produce it, and I see it in the credits of ‘screenplay by Maine Mendoza, directed by Maine Mendoza.”

In the early part of 2015, Mendoza posted a Dubmash compilation on Facebook, impersonating Kris Aquino, which went viral with one million views overnight.
This earned her the title of “Queen of Dubsmash” in the Philippines. She was then cast as Yaya Dub, on Eat Bulaga! ‘s Juan For All, All For Juan segment and first appeared on July 4, 2015, this started her career in show business.
Her character in the segment was paired with fellow co-host Alden Richards in the romantic-comedy sketch section of the show called “Kalyeserye.” The couple became popularly known as AlDub.
This opened the door to her acting career, where she starred in her first prime time television series Destined to be Yours, where Mendoza played the role of Sinag Obispo, a radio DJ and the love interest of Benjie Rosales, an architect played by Alden Richards.
In 2016, Alden and Maine starred in Imagine You and ME.
Maine has also been helping out those who are in need and have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. She started a fundraising drive for workers affected by the quarantine.
