The pandemic disease COVID-19 is getting worse as the infected individuals have increased to 2,633 confirmed cases and 107 deaths.
President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the soldiers and cops to shoot troublemakers during the enhanced community quarantine.
Several celebrities have expressed their dismay and questioned the possible indications of Duterte’s statement, like Alessandra de Rossi, Agot Isidro, Jane Oineza, and Lauren Young.
These celebrities were furious with Duterte’s speech, as there are citizens who are hungry, sick and dying due to coronavirus, what our country really needs is a concrete plan on how to fight the pandemic disease and not threats.
Bat umabot na naman sa patayan? Di ba pwedeng batuhin nalang ng pancit canton, ganyan? 😑

People are hungry.
People are sick.
People are dying. And you talk about shooting them dead???
It’s a fracking HEALTH CRISIS!
Nakakagalit na.— Agot Isidro (@agot_isidro) April 1, 2020
We need plans. We need mass testing. We need the breakdown. Not threats.

You can call me laos, starlet or pokpok all you want cus of how I tweet my opinions about our government. But he sought after this position – and I don’t agree with whats happening. Sorry if the truth hurts but you can’t deny it especially when its staring right at your face.

According to Lauren, the private sectors has risen to help out the community while government officials seem to be missing in action. Duterte’s orders to shoot the troublemakers are not really helpful to our current situation.
Takot na nga yung mga tao because of this virus. Their own government is depriving them of food, their officials are MIA, one was parading about without following guidelines and you have the nerve to scare them even more with violence? WHY? How is that helpful?

Meanwhile, Mikoy Morales likened Duterte to a drunken uncle who gets rowdy.
Yeah, I didn’t even bother watching.

Furthermore, Alexa Ilacad and Wynwyn Marquez reiterated it’s disheartening to hear the news that the President would rather order to kill the netizens instead of helping and providing them the necessities.

Fortunately, the Philippine National Police remained firm and helped the public to stay calm amidst Duterte’s order by affirming that they won’t follow the ‘shoot to kill’ policy of the President.
PNP Chief Director General Archie Gamboa stated: “Of course not, probably the President just overemphasized on implementing the law in this time of crisis. We see the strong message and I think all the PNP personnel understood it.”
