Actresses like Angel Locsin and Bela Padilla were lauded online for organizing fundraisers and aiding relief operations at their own expense. With the ongoing crisis in the country, netizens are now expecting other celebs to do the same.
Recently, Kapamilya star Sunshine Cruz was accused of not helping the needy amid the crisis. She contradicted this and said she is helping “on her own way” and that she has decided not to publicize her contributions.
“If you are bothered by my posts, then don’t look. Now, if you have done your part, then good,” she hit back at a netizen who commented on her post.
Home Sweetie Home star Toni Gonzaga was also badmouthed online for not showing any charity efforts compared to her sister Alex Gonzaga. Toni replied coolly to her basher telling she helped out others in silence.
“I don’t need your validation and praise for it,” she clapped back. “Some people can work and help in silence. Respect that. Not everything is publicized like how [you] want it. After washing your hands today, wash your mouth also. It badly needs it.”
