“I used to admire your efforts to do charity without posting it on social media as it’s supposed to be. What happened?”
This was what a basher said as she tried to question Angel Locsin for posting about her efforts to help COVID-19 frontliners.
The 34-year-old actress told the basher that she wouldn’t post on social media any of her relief efforts if the funds came from her pocket.
But since she’s running a fundraiser, people, as well as the donators, must be informed.
Angel said: “Alam mo, kung pera ko, wala kang makikitang post. Pero kung fundraising, san ka naman nakakita ng fundraising na hindi pinapaalam sa tao?”
In addition to that, Angel reiterated that questioning her effort to update the public is not really helpful during this time of crisis, especially since there is still a lot of work to do, and materials that must be donated.
She continued: “What you’re doing is not helping. Sayang yung energy at oras para malungkot at mag explain pa eh ang daming ginagawa.”
These are some of Angel’s updates on social media to thank everyone who helped her and fiancé Neil Arce to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to health workers.

Angel has been known for her generosity and big heart to help other people in times of calamity. She auctioned her luxury 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle through the ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya to help Yolanda victims in November 2019.
With no cameras and media around, Angel even brought a truckload of goods to be distributed to the victims of the earthquake in Davao City, Mindanao in the same month she helped Yolanda victims.
