As the nation continues its battle against COVID-19, ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel launches a timely TV special and a new daily talk show to begin discussions on the new normal in the Philippines.
The country’s premier 24/7 English news channel zooms in on the global pandemic’s impact on the way we live and do business in “The Boss Special: New Normal” and “ANC Conversations” featuring the seasoned news anchors and hosts of ANC.
ANC puts a spin on “The Boss” with its multi-awarded anchor Cathy Yang speaking to leaders from various industries on how they have responded to the crisis and what they plan to do after the pandemic.
In the pilot episode on April 27, Cathy engaged experts from the banking industry to give viewers an idea on how the landscape is changing. Another episode featured her one-on-one interview with billionaire Enrique Razon, who weighed in on the quarantine extension and the Philippine economy’s prospects. “The Boss Special: New Normal” airs weekdays at 8 pm.
Meanwhile, airing from Monday to Saturday is “ANC Conversations,” a new talk show that debuted on April 20 over the video conferencing service Zoom. The one hour and 15-minute program features ANC anchors taking turns in hosting six days a week, each one focusing on how different sectors are responding to the new normal, and how individuals can adjust their lifestyles in light of the health crisis.
On Mondays, David Celdran gets to pick the minds of leaders in the leisure, travel, and hospital businesses about the measures they will adapt to make operations safe once the quarantine is lifted. Tuesdays are devoted to public service and innovations with Salve Duplito, who offers advice on what business can do moving forward.
On Wednesdays, Marie Lozano chats with influencers about using social media for social good in the time of COVID-19, while Quintin Pastrana discusses breakthroughs and new business practices.
Conversations become more light and fun entering the weekend with “LSS” host Martin Nievera giving out tips on how to survive the lockdown every Friday, and “Green Living” host Paolo Abrera offering new ideas in maintaining a sustainable living in the time of COVID-19 every Saturday.
