There’s no stopping ABS-CBN from delivering entertainment even if the artists and the production team are staying at home following the implementation of the enhance community quarantine in Luzon.
It was a novel idea and a breakthrough on Philippine television when ABS-CBN used modern digital technology in creating a virtual concert that brought together more than 100 of its brightest stars to inspire and entertainment Filipinos.
ABS-CBN went beyond television Sunday night when it aired “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig: At Home Together” concert worldwide. Yes, you heard it right. It was not only aired on ABS-CBN, S+A, DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, MOR 101.9, ANC, TVplus channels, iWant, but also on TFC across the globe.
Again, ABS-CBN connected global Filipinos to their homeland as it has been doing for many decades. It’s a service that many overseas Filipino workers find valuable as they journey through life in foreign lands.
On Sunday night, Filipinos felt the love through the Kapamilya digital concert.
The Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda made viewers laugh wildly as he showcased his creative talent by coming up with a fun music video titled, “Corona Bye Bye Na” at last night’s “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig: At Home Together” digital concert by ABS-CBN.
In the musical number, Vice Ganda appeared all glammed up and hoped that COVID-19 would finally bid goodbye since it is making life ‘chaka’ (miserable) for everyone.
Vice’s hilarious performance quickly became a favorite among netizens who praised the Kapamilya star for spreading positivity amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Twitter user @malayangheart wrote, “At these trying times and even while at home, @vicegandako with her team, did not stop to give us entertainment and spread positivity. Gagaling as always.”
Another user, @MoloChristine said, “Thanks meme for making this music video. @vicegandako kahit naka quarantine tayo spread good vibes lang. Keep safe. God bless us all.”
Among those Kapamilyas who went out of their way to serve Filipinos straight from their homes were “The Voice PH” coaches, the “It’s Showtime” family, power couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez, and Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, among many others.
Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo also grabbed headlines last night as they performed a duet for the first time as a married couple.
Other Kapamilya stars meanwhile, shared comforting messages of hope to viewers, including the cast of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” Dimples Romana, Beauty Gonzales, and Alex Gonzaga, among many others.
The show of Kapamilya love was a boost of morale to Filipinos as the entire country wages a war against COVID-19 that has already claimed 33 lives.
ABS-CBN’s “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig” campaign launched last Thursday aims to help Filipino families greatly affected by the enhanced community quarantine by working in partnership with private companies and local governments, which will distribute the packages.
Thanks also to ABS-CBN’s roster of Kapamilya stars, the “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig: At Home Together” concert was a smashing success, despite the short span of time it took for the network to organize the “digital” event.
