The intense bashing of netizens of Heart Evangelista over the ‘guillotine the rich’ issue, Noli de Castro downplaying Vico Sotto’s efforts, and Drew Arellano’s statement that people are the virus are some of the issues that urged Vice Ganda to call for a ceasefire on social media during the ‘enhanced community quarantine’ on Luzon.
It’s Showtime TV host Vice Ganda shared his sentiments on Twitter and advised everyone to go on a ceasefire since this is not the time to fight each other.
Wag tayong mag away away. Lalong lalo na sa panahong ito. Di makakatulong. Wag tayong magsalita na parang tayo lang ang tama, ang matalino at magaling. Wag tayong umasta na parang tayo lang ang may pagmamahal at malasakit sa kapwa, sa bayan at sa mundo . (1)

In another tweet Vice briefly stated that everyone’s intention is to get through this crisis, though we have different ways of helping fellow Filipinos who are in need.

Furthermore, Vice emphasized to his followers to extend their compassion and understanding not just for the frontliners and daily wage earners but also to anybody who is affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
He said: “hindi lang sa mga ‘walang makakain’ tayo dapat may compassion. Dapat sa lahat. OO SA LAHAT. Pati sa mga pinaparatangan natin walang compassion. Pahabain natin ang pang unawa sa isat isa. The more na nagagalit tayo mas humihina ang ating immune system. CALMNESS IS STRENGTH.”
