Kapamilya actress Roxanne Barcelo has been making rounds on social media over a retweeted tweet that has earned the ire of Alex Gonzaga’s fans.
On March 15, the Fluid star reposted a tweet from a netizen who praised and described the actress as “super nice” and “funny” when they incidentally met at a mall two weeks ago.
His post reads, “She listens and engages [with] us very well. Kung ano-ano napag-usapan namin, from work to next vid niya to jowa jowa to skin care. Huhu. [Love you], Miss Roxanne.”
Roxanne mindlessly reposted the tweet not realizing that it was a quote retweet from a thread bashing Alex Gonzaga.
The hate thread started after the 35-year-old actress and singer was compared to Alex during her guesting in Tonight With Boy Abunda last March 13.
Netizens, especially Alex’s fans, immediately reacted to her post.
The Los Bastardos star eventually took down her post, however, some fans of Alex were able to take a screenshot of it. Many of them called out Roxanne for being a “hypocrite” and “plastic” who only uses Alex’s name to escalate the number of her YouTube subscribers.
A Twitter user posted, “NAPAKA HYPOCRITE TO SAY NA HINAHANGAAN MO YUNG TAO ANG GUSTO MO MAKA-COLLAB TAPOS I RT MO YUNG HATE TWEET ABOUT SA KANYA???????? SANA OK KA LANG PO.”
One netizen tweeted, “Ano na gurl kala Pa namn namin walang issue hahahaha well alam na namin na gagamitin mo lang si Alex G. Buti nalang di Pa kayo nakakapag collab hayst sana okay ka lang hahaha.”
Another fan of Alex wrote, “ Pasabi dun sa ni-RT mo and para sayo.. Wala kame pake sa inyo. tigilan mo ung pagaambisyon maka-collab si Alex kx ayaw ka namin mapanuod and para matahimik yang iilang piraso mong subscribers.”
Roxee B immediately acknowledged her fault and apologized to the fans of her fellow actress saying she doesn’t condone hate and bullying towards others as she had experienced it herself.
She wrote, “I deleted a recent retweet and will say that I don’t condone hate or bullying towards others. I have been bullied all of high school and college and feel terrible for those who think I retweeted to a reply that I did not know was a response to a thread on hate.”

In another post, the actress admitted that she felt bad because of what happened, but she clarified that she only wants to spread positivity.
“I feel so bad, I didn’t read that it was a reply to a different thread. I only read the text to me. I did not see the thread so thank you for letting me know! Again I’m sorry. I took down my retweet immediately and I only want to spread positivity. [praying emoji] Again I am so sorry. [cat crying emoji]”

She also stressed in her post that she respects the YouTube star and won’t message her about a collaboration.
@AlexSquadOFC honestly said all I needed to say about what I truly think of Alex on twba. I respect her for the actress and host she is. Also, for your peace of mind, I won’t ever msg her about a collab so as to appease your doubts.
