- He told Chin to stop acting like Mocha Uson
- Chin earlier “divulged” the alleged assassination plot of ABS-CBN against President Rodrigo Duterte
Actor and show business reporter Ogie Diaz reacted to a viral post of M.Y.M.P. (or MYMP , short for Make Your Momma Proud) guitarist Chin Alcantara.
In a lengthy Facebook post titled “FAILED EDSA UPRISING. PLAN B: ASSASSINATE PRESIDENT DUTERTE”, Chin claimed that an alleged ouster and assassination plot against President Rodrigo Duterte had been instigated by ABS-CBN.
Ogie denied this outrageous claim and slammed the MYMP guitarist.
Ogie shared a LionhearTV article tackling the issue on February 29 and wrote in the caption: “Juice ko, ang cheap, di ba?”
“Kung gusto nating makatulong sa bansa, wag maghasik ng mga imbento at walang basehang balita.”
The comedian also said that Chin should stop being like Mocha Uson, a notorious fake news peddler.
In the comment section of the post, director Chris Cahilig said that Chin and his band has been disrespectful to their fellow artists.
Direk Chris said, “Bastos sa kapwa artists ang MYMP especially Chin. One time habang kumakanta ang boy band ko, nag-sound check. Nagulat kami biglang nasa stage na sila at tumutugtog.”
Ogie then replied to him with. “Ayun lang. Alam na.”
StarStruck alumni Chuck Allie called Chin “desperate” for his contoversial post.
ABS-CBN Executive Mel Mendoza-del Rosario also quipped, “Anong tinira nito katol?!”
Chin stated that the plan was uncovered by the intelligence communities of PNP, AFP, NBI, and ISAFP.
He said the initial plan was to oust Duterte through an EDSA People Power-like rally which was allegedly funded by prominent families who own public utility companies.
However, in a presscon held at Camp Crame on February 25, NCRPO Chief Debold Sinas said they haven’t monitored any threats in line with the celebration of the 34th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolt.
Aside from his EDSA theory, Chin also alleged that the Senate hearing called for and conducted by the committee of Sen. Grace Poe is just a ploy to sway people’s emotions against the government. It was on February 24 when Sen. Poe’s Committee on Public Services held the hearing on ABS-CBN’s franchise violations.
