- Bongbong Marcos and his wife issued different statements about his health.
Netizens were left confused about the true state of Bongbong Marcos’ health after their camp issued two different official statements.
Marcos’ wife Atty. Liza first came up with a statement saying the former Senator is now in better condition belying circulating reports that the former Senator had already passed away.
“Contrary to the rumors circulating, my husband is well. His lungs did not collapse. He was not airlifted in Manong Chavit’s plane to get treatment in Singapore. He is not dying nor is he dead,” she said in a statement.
BBM’s wife also said their whole family had been tested for COVID-19 yesterday and it came out negative.
“Yesterday, we had ourselves and our entire staff tested for COVID-19. Fortunately, we all tested NEGATIVE,” she added.
That statement from Atty. Liza drew criticism from netizens who asked how were they able to get the test results in just 24 hours.
Kapamilya journalist Tony Velasquez sarcastically said the hospital that processed the Marcos’ test should be given a commendation by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the rapid result.

Actor Ping Medina, on the other hand, blasted the VIP treatment the Marcos family got after getting their test results in just 24 hours.

Netizen and dermatologist @ayabellsmd also slammed the supposed VIP treatment accorded to the Marcos family after they’ve got the test results in just 24 hours.

Former PCOO secretary Manolo Quezon also pointed out the VIP treatment that the Marcoses got.

After his wife’s statement, Bongbong himself came out with a statement saying he’s still waiting for the result of his COVID-19 test.
“A few days ago I was feeling a little under the weather and as a result went to get checked. We are still waiting for the results,” Bongbong said.
“I am doing okay and contrary to popular belief, I am home on self-quarantine… Fortunately, I feel much better and am getting stronger by the day,” he added.
With their conflicting statements, netizens chided the Marcoses for not getting their act together. Netizens even laughed at the glaring contradictions in the statements.
