Pepito Manaloto premiered March 28, 2010. The long time sitcom has been running for almost a decade.
But last 2012, the first-ever reality sitcom and one of the consistent top raters of GMA Network, Pepito Manaloto, ended its wonderful journey.
According to Michael V., it had already run out of funny ideas to use on the series because of the members of its production team.
“Whenever we sat down to brainstorm for upcoming episodes nothing interesting came up anymore, So we decided to end it.”
However, due to negative feedback from the audience on the show’s cancellation, they decided to relaunch Pepito Manaloto.
“We felt that we owe it to its supporters to give what they wanted, we had to rack our brains to come up with a device so we could continue telling the story of the Manalotos.”
And in September 2016, Pepito Manaloto relaunched as Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento which is running until today.
