Everyone has their own opinions on the recently identified pandemic COVID-19. Netizens went on different social platforms to voice out their thoughts but some are spouting outright nonsense.
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda couldn’t help but call out a so-called ‘”woke” netizen on Twitter who was spreading false information because he misinterpreted the facts.
“Kung talagang WOKE ka sana dilat ang mga mata mo para mabasa ang kadugtong nyan na tweet.”
Vice also stressed that in this time of crisis, we shouldn’t be fighting but rather helping each other in disseminating the right information and in raising awareness.
“At kung talagang WOKE ka dapat alam mo na di ito ang oras para mag away tayo. God bless you! Please be safe.”

As of this writing, the netizen that was called out deleted the tweet and deactivated his/her account.
As a star who has a wide range of fans, Vice used this to his advantage to disseminate awareness about COVID-19.
On his twitter account, Vice tweeted about basic protective measures against the new coronavirus such as limiting trips outside the house unless it is important.
So MANAHIMIK KA SA BAHAY!

He also mentioned Social Distancing, where one should stay 1 to 3 meters away from each other. He apologized and asked for understanding from his fans who wanted to have a picture with him because of this.
Pasensya na po talaga sa mga di ko napagbibigyan ng selfie. Sana po talaga ay maunawaan ng lhat ang Social Distancing para sa ngayon.

As of this writing, the Philippines has more than 100 cases of COVID-19 with the Department of Health (DOH) reporting that the total number of patients has reached 142.
Most of the new cases are admitted in different hospitals in Metro Manila which are now under community quarantine.
With the quarantine imposed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, travel to and from Metro Manila would be restricted until midnight April 14, 2020.
“It’s just a matter of protecting public interest and public health,” Duterte had said.
“Ayaw naming gamitin yan kasi takot sa lockdown, but it’s a lockdown. There is no struggle of power here, it is a matter of protecting and defending you from COVID-19.”
