Gerald used to be on the safe side when he was asked for the first time on his opinion regarding the ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal issue, but then in a live interview with Jeff Canoy for TV Patrol, Gerald has made up his mind and finally decided to be more vocal in supporting the network.
According to Gerald, to protect the ABS-CBN against its opponents is the responsibility of every talent within the network.
He said: “That’s ABS-CBN, something that we have to protect. Itong challenge na dumating sa ABS, sama-sama natin lalagpasan ito.”
In addition to that, Gerald quoted ABS-CBN CEO Carlo Katigbak on his Instagram, in which the latter stated “hindi perpekto, handang itama ang pagkukulang.”
“When you feel like you’re fighting for your life or you feel your back is against the wall… When your livelihood is being threatened and your reputation is being attacked… When everything right and good you have forgotten.. You feel very grateful for the people who really support and care for you.” – Gerald Anderson
