Columnist and radio host Jobert Sucaldito along with his lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, filed a complaint with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) against DZMM for alleged “Illegal” dismissal from his post on the radio show Showbuzz with Ahwel Paz.
Jobert was suspended when he defended Ricky Lo against Nadine Lustre and attacked the mental health of the Kapamilya actress.
To clarify the issue as well as to denounce Jobert’s allegations of an ‘illegal’ dismissal, DZMM issued an official statement, reiterating that the suspension for the columnist had undergone a standard procedure, and they had given Jobert the chance to explain himself.
“Jobert Sucaldito’s contract as an anchor of the DZMM program Showbuzz was suspended, as is standard procedure, while he is under investigation due to the remarks he made on-air about actress Nadine Lustre’s mental health.
“It is not true that he was illegally dismissed from his post. He was also given due process and was able to explain his side on the matter.”
According to DZMM, Jobert has faced several investigations in the past due to the violations he has made.
“This is not the first time that Mr. Sucaldito has been investigated for violations of the network’s standards and ethics manual, the KBP Broadcast Code, and provisions of his contract. Nevertheless, the network assures the public that his case is being handled with fairness and integrity and in adherence to the law.”
Jobert and his past rifts aside from Nadine
During the time when Willie Revillame was still a Kapamilya way back in May 2010 for Wowowee, the veteran TV host demanded that the network remove Jobert or else he would resign. After a year, John “Sweet” Lapus filed a libel case against Jobert for writing malicious articles and other issues in his tabloid. Fortunately, the case did not push through when Sweet accepted Jobert’s public apology.
In 2017, Jobert completely humiliated Erik Santos and his talent manager, Erickson Raymundo. Jobert’s recent rift before Nadine was with Morissette Amon.
