GMA Network host Drew Arellano apologized after publishing an insensitive post on Twitter where he said, “We are the virus and the covid’s the cure really.”
Considering the virus is highly contagious and has resulted in thousands of deaths around the world, it was seen as inappropriate and insensitive.
My apologies for the tweet. It was insensitive. Hoping everyone is fine on their end.

Fortunately, other celebrities like Kiray Celis, Bullet Dumas, Angel Locsin, Juan Miguel Severo, and Bela Padilla were more compassionate with their posts.

Lockdown and social distancing are for the middle and upper classes only. How about the lower class? We need mass testing.

Paano kaya? 🙁

The ‘enhanced community quarantine’ imposed on Luzon has been difficult for everyone especially to those who are forced to stop working to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines. Daily wage earners and homeless people who cannot afford to buy protective gear for themselves are the most affected individuals during the state of calamity.
They also do not have a sufficient budget to stock food and stay at home which puts them in danger whenever they try to venture outside.
As of this writing, the Department of Health just confirmed a total of 230 COVID-19 cases nationwide and 18 deaths.
